Family

Family can be:

1. A group of people that you are related to by blood, or
2. A group of people who are very close friends, and that you feel kinship with

If you don't have anyone in group #1 (because they've died, or you just don't like them), adding people to group #2 makes life better.

It's harder to escape the people in group #1, unless you have a very good lawyer or are open to the idea of moving to Guatemala.
